About Mahabuddha Temple

Mahabuddha Temple also known as "temple of a thousand Buddhas", "the temple of 9000",9999 Buddha temple is Located to the south of Patan Durbar Square. Its comes from the engraved terracotta. In every small free space you will see buddha statues. The temple was completely damange during 1990's earthquake and was again rebuilted.

Altogether it have 9999 buddhas.

every year thousands of tourist from different country visit here.its among a temple without visiting tour is incomplete in patan.

Every year mandala is displayed in month of november. Beside the temple this place is also famous for the artistic work and statues around the globe.
